Findex and Crowe Horwath Welcome Amelia Hartney and Sam Lawrence

We are very pleased to announce the recent appointment of Amelia Hartney as Associate Partner, Performance Consulting, and Sam Lawrence as Senior Manager, Global Trade and Customs.

Amelia Hartney joins us following almost a decade at KPMG, where she was an Associate Director.

Based in Albury, Amelia will be taking a hands-on approach to bolstering the company’s  consultancy offering. Specifically, she will be acting as a mentor and leadership coach to Crowe Horwath’s extensive regional small business clients nationally.

Amelia will also be working closely with businesses across Australia, helping them to gain government support via Federal and State-based funding programs. Amelia and her team will be providing government relations consulting, specifically the Victorian BoostYourBusiness and Defence Industry Supply Chain Program initiatives and Federal R&D Tax Incentive program.

During her time as a Management Consultant for KPMG in Melbourne, Amelia worked across several areas of the firm, most recently as Program Leader for Access Asia, a specialist group providing knowledge helping Australian companies plan and execute international operational strategies.

Amelia also sits on the board of directors for youth not for profit NESAY, and is a strategy advisor and has close professional affiliation with the Children First Foundation.

Sam Lawrence is an international agricultural trade specialist with expertise in Australasia, Asia and the Middle East.

He is a former diplomat with the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and has extensive experience in negotiating Australia’s free-trade agreements. Sam’s most recent role was with Horticulture Innovation Australia, based in Melbourne.

Sam has joined Findex in a dual capacity working between Performance Consulting and Tax Advisory, focused on global trade. He will work closely with both Amelia Hartney, and Richard Nutt, Associate Partner, Global Trade and Customs, to assist in designing and building a suite of trade focused services for organisations, large and small. These services are intended to complement the existing range of services offered by Findex, and provide an additional value-add to clients both in Australia and New Zealand. .
